Nicole Hunt: Legal Professional, Public Servant, Advocate for Parental Partnership in Education

Nicole Hunt is an attorney, community leader, and mother dedicated to serving the Elizabeth School District with clarity, principle, and purpose. With extensive public service experience and a firm belief in the partnership between families and schools, she is running for the Elizabeth School Board to advance policies that reflect Elbert County’s rural character, commitment to academic excellence, and respect for parental rights.

She previously served on the Douglas County Planning Commission and was appointed to the Douglas County School Safety and Protection Committee following the STEM school shooting. She now serves on the Elbert County Planning Commission, where she applies her legal training to review complex proposals and recommend solutions grounded in public input and local values.

As a mother of school-aged children educated in a mix of public charter and private schools, Nicole champions parental rights, transparent school governance, and local control. She supports returning to foundational academics and believes students thrive when families are empowered, and classrooms are safe.

She supports the Board’s efforts to restore foundational academics, protect community-based decision-making, and steward district resources wisely.
